1902

687 1/2 Central Ave., St. Paul

No candles on this tree, but dangerously near a wood-burning stove. A cheerful horn tops the tree, hung with cut-out animal-dolls clothed in cloth costumes. There's a rabbit in a dress at the top, a rabbit in pantaloons on the left, and the wry pipe-smoking dog.

There are two child-sized branded carpet sweepers: Bissel and American Home Furnishing Company. See Girls Toys & Edith Ironing.

Mother's crocheted handiwork shows up in two pairs of slippers, a doll blanket or shawl above the pantalooned rabbit, and the familiar doll sweater.

Part of a large train set is displayed on the foreground carpet.
